     At the Law Offices of Brian G. Winter, LLC we recognize and understand that going through a divorce is probably one of the most difficult times in a person’s life.  It is also usually one of the first experiences that individuals have with lawyers and the court system.  People have to deal with the uncertainties of custody of their children, visitation issues with the parent of their children, where they are going to live, and how they are going to support themselves in the future.  We understand the issues that people are experiencing and help people navigate the legal process.  We take a holistic approach to each client’s matter which takes into consideration not only the legal aspects of the case, but how best to help the client move forward and rebuild once the divorce is finalized.

Winter, LLC is especially sensitive to matters involving children.  Divorces can be very acrimonious and disruptive to the children.  This is especially true when parties are litigating custody, visitation, and relocation issues.  The Law Offices of Brian G. Winter, LLC assist individuals in negotiating and drafting parenting plans so that the issues pertaining to children may be amicably resolved.  In cases involving children, we may work with therapists and teachers to help parents come up with a comprehensive parenting plan which addresses the issues of custody parental access, educational and religious matters.

     Attorney Brian Winter is appointed by the Superior Court to represent children in the capacity of counsel and guardian ad litem for children in custody, visitation and relocation proceedings.  Attorney Winter is also appointed by the Probate Court to represent children in the capacity of counsel and guardian ad litem for children in temporary custody matters, guardianship proceedings and termination of parental rights matters.  In addition, Attorney Winter serves as Special Master for the Superior Court in family cases.
